Abstract: This paper describes the features of the current generation CyberSKA. CyberSKA is a platform for collaborative research around big data sets, built upon the Elgg social networking framework. It was created to enable users to manage and distribute data, and as a precursor to explore ways in which data distribution might be handled for the SKA telescope. Currently in its design phase, the SKA will produce data in volumes orders of magnitude larger than existing telescopes. In addition to providing an environment in which astronomers can collaborate around big data sets and access custom applications, CyberSKA provides ways to find particular data products and perform remote visualisation of those products.
