Abstract: Tidal compression in the Galactic disk is examined using numerical simulations, and the evolution of a cloud with T = 6500 K is shown. Clusters formed as a result of disk crossing will have higher Z, lie nearer the Galactic Center, and have orbits which lie more nearly in the plane of the disk than clusters formed at earlier times.
