Abstract: Can tidal debris around external galaxies tell us anything interesting about cosmological models? In this contribution we use a hybrid semianalytic plus n-body approach to model the accretion history of several galaxies. We confirm that debris from recent satellite accretion should be detectable at low surface brightness levels (30 mag arcsec−2) around many galaxies.
