Abstract: We have performed a multi-wavelength study of NGC 604, a young SOBA, using a combination of HST and ground-based data. The attenuation by dust experienced by the associated giant HII region is quite patchy, with some areas showing almost no signs of the presence of dust and others completely hidden from view in the optical. We have also detected the presence of the 2175 Å feature in one of the stars with moderate extinction.
