Abstract: A new method, the Fourier-phase diagram method allows the simultaneous investigation of the changes in the frequencies of the fundamental and first overtone modes of double mode RR Lyrae stars. The long-term (80 years) behaviour (constancy, period increase or decrease) of the fundamental mode of RRd stars in M15 are presented and compared to the previously known behaviour of the first overtone. The period changes in both modes of RRd stars can give information on the evolution in the mixing mode range.
