Abstract: Eclipsing (or ellipsoidal) binaries which are members of three or multiple body systems are discussed. Methods which are the sources of third body discoveries are summarized. Attention is given to systems where the third body produces more than one observable effect: motion in a visual orbit, presence of multiple components in spectral line profiles, light time effect. Several examples are described, and lists of systems where these effects might be detectable, are included.
