Abstract: We have observed the 2.3 GHz and 8.3 GHz radio continuum flux of magnetically active systems beta Per, HR 1099, and delta Lib with the NRAO-Green Bank Interferometer. This project monitored flare activity continuously from 1995 January to 1996 April when the interferometer was temporarily closed down. The campaign was successful in detecting several strong flares with continuum fluxes as high as 0.96 Jy at 8.3 GHz in beta Per and up to 1.4 Jy at 8.3 GHz in HR 1099. The frequency of these flares is 1 - 2 months. These flaring time scales may provide a clue to the processes which result in the extreme variability of the Hα emission in some Algol-type binaries like U CrB and U Sge, or those which could influence the gas stream trajectory in more magnetically-active systems like TX UMa.
