Abstract: NGC 2362 is one of the youngest open stellar clusters in our Galaxy and is centered around the massive O-type star tau CMa. This cluster exhibits several hundred cool stars in the pre-main sequence phase. We used the ROSAT PSPC and HRI to obtain deep X-ray images of NGC 2362. Here we present first results of an in-depth study of the X-ray properties of the cool star cluster members.
