Abstract: We present a model for the spiral structure of the Milky Way based upon data obtained by the Cosmic Background Explorer (COBE) satellite. The model provides the volume emissivity of important coolants of the ISM and tracers of spiral structure as a function of position within the Galaxy. A four-arm model, with arms described by logarithmic spiral forms, reproduce the observations extremely well.
