Abstract: Minor planet astrometry has been done at Valencia Observatory since 2001 using CCDs. Software for automatic CCD field measurements has been developed. Sidereal and non-sidereal motions of objects are analyzed. In addition, modern robotic telescopes have made it possible to conduct routine survey programs for detection of variable objects in stellar or galactic fields. Algorithms for individual and 'mosaic' field comparison have been developed, allowing for search and detection of objects with varying positions or brightness (new asteroids, novae and variable stars) in standard or crowded stellar fields (galaxies and clusters).
