Abstract: We present XMM observations of hard X-ray emission from the field of IC 443 a supernova remnant interacting with a molecular cloud. The hard emission from the field is dominated by 12 isolated sources having 2-10 keV flux higher than 5 x 10-14 erg/cm2/s. Some of the sources are expected to be related to the SNR, given their positional coincidence with infrared emission associated to the interaction between the shock and a molecular cloud. We present a spectral study of the brightest sources. We also present upper limits on the nonthermal diffuse X-ray emission of radio emitting electrons accelerated by SNR shock wave in the northeastern ridge.
