Abstract: We have obtained optical spectra and H I maps for a sample of edge-on spirals. Together with existing photometry, this data allows us to study simultaneously the 3D structure and the kinematics of galaxy disks. This is briefly illustrated for IC 2531. A synthesis of the stellar and H I kinematics for the entire sample reveals a correlation between the disk stellar velocity dispersion and the maximum rotation.
