Abstract: We present a preliminary study of rotational asymmetry in the B, V, R and I photometric bands for both components in a sample of disk-disk (S+S) binary galaxies, selected from the Catalogue of Isolated Pairs of Galaxies in the Northern Hemisphere (Karachentsev 1972). We emphasize the role of the colour-asymmetry relationship as a fundamental tool in the study of interacting galaxies.
