Abstract: We report the discovery of a periodic variable star about 3 arcmin to the west of V452 Cas. Its V-magnitude is 14.02(9). We performed differential photometry of this object over several cycles. From the light curves, we derive a period P = 0.060(2)d. The amplitude of the variation is about 0.02 mag. Followup spectral observations revealed the object to be of spectral type A3 to A7, and it probably is a delta Sct type variable.
