Abstract: A key word to characterize Subaru Telescope is ’wide-field’, which drove us to hold this conference. Suprime-Cam, the wide-field prime focus CCD camera for Subaru Telescope, plays important roles in various fields of astronomy. I show some remarkable results obtained by Suprime-Cam for galaxies in the local universe, in particular NGC 6822 and Leo II in the Local Group, and a striking Hα emission-line region found in the Coma cluster. Finally, I summarize future prospects for wide-field astronomy done using Subaru Telescope.
