Abstract:	We present a review of optical spectropolarimetry of two supernovae (SNe) with Subaru/FOCAS.We also give a short description of the current performance of FOCAS polarimetry. The observed SNe were both energetic type Ic SNe similar to the prototype of ‘hypernova’, SN 1998bw. We attempt to explain observed polarization properties with a viewing angle effect for bipolar SN explosions.
