Abstract: The future of observational helioseismology lies in four areas: extremely high-degree observations, ground-based multi-wavelength observations, space-based observations from multiple viewpoints, and space weather predictive tools. On the theoretical front, advances in numerical simulations, further understanding of the effect of surface magnetic fields on the observations, and the development of methods to detect sub-surface magnetic fields are at the forefront. Finally, new developments in astrophysical fluid dynamics and dynamo models will provide new insights into the generation of magnetic fields, and will motivate new efforts to determine the nature of the internal solar velocity and magnetic fields.
