Abstract: The interior of the Sun undergoes variations on intermediate time scales (i.e. years or longer), which affect the luminosity output and the total amount of radiation received by the Earth (the Total Solar Irradiance, or TSI). Modelling these variations is currently beyond the capabilities of conventional stellar codes. The main goal of this project is to put meaningful constraints on the effect of the solar variability on climate change.
