|Three-dimensional Hybrid Simulation on GPU System
Using RETRY and LIST Moment Calculation Algorithms

|The calculation performance of two types of moment calculation algorithms
are evaluated on a GPU system with nVIDIA C2070 board.
Those are RETRY and LIST algorithms.
The performances are compared with the CPU (Intel Xeon W3520) performance
using four rank MPI calculations.
We use 8 byte double precision variables and enable the ECC
for physical memory on both CPU and GPU chips.
The used simulation algorithm is three-dimensional Hybrid code.
We don't use the particle sorting method where the particle numbering
(ID number) is sorted by the particle location in the system.
The performance of the RETRY algorithm is slower than
that of CPU procedure.
On the other hand, the performance of the LIST algorithm is about
2.8 times faster than that of CPU procedure.
