Abstract: We present performance measurements of the optical metrology system that will fly as part of the LISA Technology Package experiment. These results were obtained during thermal-vacuum testing of the LISA Pathfinder spacecraft. The optical metrology flight units were integrated in the spacecraft and operated in an artificial space environment at the expected in-orbit thermal limits of 30.5 °C and 9.5 °C. An interferometer performance of better than 6.4 pm/√Hz in test mass displacement, and 1 nrad/√Hz in test mass angular motion was demonstrated over the entire measurement frequency band of 3-30 mHz.
