Abstract: We apply the ring-diagram technique to study the temporal evolution of horizontal velocity in sub-photospheric layers beneath active regions as they move across the solar disk. Here we present results for the AR 11158 for six days and investigate how flows get organized within the active region by the morphology of individual sunspots or vice versa. we find abrupt changes in depth profiles for smaller regions in going from one day to another, however the average flows for the active region do not show significant temporal variation.
