Abstract: We performed a 3D MHD simulation from the photosphere to the inner heliosphere to examine whether high-speed solar wind can be reproduced near the equator in the minimum phase of the Solar Cycle (SC) 23. We have incorporated external acceleration and heating source terms into the momentum and energy equations, respectively, in our simulation. Simulation results are compared with satellite observations, which shows that equatorial high-speed solar wind can be reproduced in the inner heliosphere, although quantitative accuracy is not high.
