Abstract: During the past three years, we preformed new photometry of seven short-period Algol-type binaries (SpABs), using several small telescopes at the Xinglong station of National Astronomical Observatories of China (NAOC). Light-curves analyses and orbital period studies are preformed. For the classic Algol-type binary XZ And, the orbital period may be undergoing a secular period increase with a cyclic oscillation. It is discovered that FR Ori is a near-contact oEA-type binary with a radial pulsating primary component. The dominant pulsation period is Ppuls=37.3 minutes. Based on 56 semi-detached oEA stars, we determined the relation between orbital and pulsation periods, which implies that the pulsating frequency increases when the orbital period decreases.
