Abstract: |
EMIR, the near-infrared camera-spectrograph operating in the wavelength range
0.9–2.5μm, is being commissioned at the Nasmyth focus of the Gran
Telescopio CANARIAS. An associated data reduction pipeline, PyEmir, is being
developed in Python with the aim of helping astronomers to reduce the
corresponding data. This work shows how the simultaneous correction of
geometric distortions and wavelength calibration leads to better spectral
resolution than when both operations are carried out separately. |
