Abstract: Under-represented high school students from Willamette Academy, supported by the National Solar Observatory and the American Astronomical Society/Solar Physics Division Education and Outreach teams, conducted public outreach activities for their local community. Students were assisted on the day of the eclipse by the largest eclipse-day gathering of solar physics experts, thanks to the American Astronomical Society's Solar Physics Division annual conference. Students were trained in advance of the eclipse event and provided with the opportunity to practice facilitation on their peers. The event garnered positive feedback from the the public, thousands of whom were in attendance who learned about the sun and the eclipse directly from local Willamette Academy students and solar physics experts.
