Abstract: Current models of stellar wind structure predict that X-ray emission lines from wind shocks should be attenuated by self-absorption through the line of sight within the wind. To-date such an effect has only been detected in the wind of ζ Pup.
Our objectives are (1) to identify if such line attenuation is common in early-type stellar winds and (2) to classify the observed properties of stellar winds upon examination of their line profile. In this presentation, we will discuss our plan for analysis utilizing Chandra/HETGS datasets and preliminary results from our line profile analysis.
