| Abstract: |
We are all citizens of the universe and have unique questions about its secrets. Many potential astronomers are not made aware of career pathways available to them and how to start in their own communities. This presentation will discuss strategies for exposing K-12 populations to the roadmap for careers in astronomy at various levels of educational attainment. From collaborations with higher education institutions and nonprofits to professional development in STEM education, the session will discuss opportunities for engaging and advising students underrepresented in the astronomical sciences. |
