Abstract: |
With the growing popularity of astronomy education and space science, the inclusion of astronomy as a distinct subject in formal education has become prevalent. This integration serves to enhance learners' astronomical literacy and foster their creative problem-solving skills. By incorporating engineering design cycles and scientific inquiry, educators can effectively apply astronomical knowledge to real-world contexts. The interdisciplinary project known as STEM+A@Astronomy is specifically designed to nurture learners' curiosity and motivation in areas such as night sky observation, space science, and planetary science through experiential learning and hands-on activities. This innovative approach is not limited to specialized astronomy courses but can also be adapted for modular lessons within primary education, providing students with an immersive and enriching learning experience that extends beyond the classroom and into their daily lives. |
