Abstract: |
Students in our introductory courses are often familiar with astronomy concepts from science fiction. Using examples from written or filmed science fiction stories can be a good way to capture their interest in real science. Our panel discussed how science fiction was used in their courses, specifically as relates to the interaction between science fiction and astronomy or astrobiology. Our summaries include relevant links to syllabuses for these courses or to science fiction works that are discussed. |
