Abstract: |
Astronomy attracts large audiences of introductory students and adult lifelong learners, who hope for resources that are open access, and ideally, free. At the Teach Astronomy website (www.teachastronomy.com), visitors can access a free, online textbook, along with a collection of images and multimedia resources. Clustering technology draws connections between related items based on keyword overlap. Astronomy articles from Wikipedia are also offered, and a new capability is planned that will deliver content with an astronomy assistant that applies a large language model to the “walled garden” of the website. |
