Abstract: CASA, the Common Astronomy Software Applications, is a user-friendly data processing software for the Karl G. Jansky Very Large Array (VLA) and Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) and is often used also for other radio telescopes. CASA can process data from Single Dish, Aperture Synthesis, and Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) telescopes and supports complex calibration and imaging pipelines.

These proceedings of the Astronomical Data Analysis Software and Systems conference ADASS XXXII summarizes two recent CASA and CASA-VLBI reference papers and provides an overview of the CASA framework, algorithms, and new VLBI capabilities. CASA is being developed by a large international team of scientists and software engineers based at the NRAO, ESO, NAOJ, and JIVE.
