| Abstract: |
We present preliminary results on the analysis of stellar flaring at near-ultraviolet wavelengths (NUV) in the prime Kepler field, observed with the Galaxy Evolution Explorer (GALEX) within the CAUSE program. The NUV data consist on light curves, containing up to 22 data points, that were collected simultaneously with optical data by Kepler. We identified several stars that present significant NUV outbursts and compared with those derived from optical photometric data by Kepler. We confirm that the relative amplitude of the NUV flaring is much larger than that in the visible. This information is valuable to assess on the potential photo-chemical reactions in exoplanetary atmospheres that the Habitable World Observatory will study in the UV regime. |
