Abstract: The analysis of ring nebulas around Wolf-Rayet stars provides a method for deriving the characteristic radiation temperature of the central star. It is shown that the nebular emission can be reproduced if the ionizing WR star is represented by synthetic model atmospheres. The principles and problems of such an analysis are outlined for NGC 6888, the ring nebula around WR 136. For such an analysis observation of forbidden lines of Ar III and Ar IV proves to be very useful.
