Abstract: A TK 2048 CCD was used in order to improve the efficiency of a search for faint solar system objects. The CCD is operated in scanning mode on the Steward Observatory 0.91-meter Newtonian telescope. The image scale is 1.2 arcsec/pixel. The resulting field of view is nearly 41 arcmin wide in declination, with an integration time of 164 seconds at the equator. The rate of sky coverage is 10.2 square deg/hour.
