Abstract: The extraction of accurate photometric and structural information from overlapping, seeing blurred images of red-shifted cluster galaxies is a difficult problem. The solution to this problem has been approached here with (1) the design and construction of an imaging CCD system, (2) the creation of a photometric system, by means of which each cluster is observed at the same rest wavelength, and (3) the development of an image processing system with which the effects of overlapping images are interactively removed. The photometric and structural parameters are solved for by nonlinear least squares, taking into account the actual stellar point spread function.
