Abstract: Stellingwerf's hydrodynamic code is used to carry out numerical simulation of the adiabatic, shock-free and ionization-free pulsation of the homogeneous (constant-density) stellar models. The code is shown to work very well for this problem provided that the pulsating envelope is sufficiently deep (more than about 95 percent of the model radius) and no artificial viscosity is used.
