Abstract: It is shown that the influence of the baseline knowledge error on the fringe rate change during the coherent averaging time interval increases sharply for space VLBI due to a greater angle velocity of a space baseline rotation compared with ground VLBI. It is shown by the example of the Radioastron orbit that the requirement to its orbit for such a short wavelength as 1.35 cm is determined by lack of knowledge of the fringe rate change during the coherent averaging time interval rather than by delay ambiguity and that this requirement is equal to several meters.
