Abstract: The Edinburgh Multicolor Survey is a large-area, accurately-calibrated UBVRI survey at intermediate magnitudes (R not greater than 18.5). It consists of 2 plates in each of U, B, V, R and I in 13 UKST fields, covering a contiguous area of 330 sq deg. The plates were taken close together in time to minimize contamination and incompleteness due to variability.
