Abstract: We study the accuracy of two magnetic analysis methods by applying them to a large grid of lines computed using detailed 1.5-D radiative transfer (RT) calculations in a variety of stellar atmospheres imbedded with fluxtubes. We find errors of < +/- 20% when using the more realistic analysis method if the fluxtube and external quiet atmospheres are similar; errors can increase substantially if this condition is relaxed.
