Abstract: The telescope and CCD camera system at the Behlen Observatory have been increasingly automated over the past four years. This automation allows us to acquire at least 100 light curve points for variable stars per night. A large survey of relatively faint stars from the General Catalogue of Variable Stars has been undertaken. Some early results are discussed. These include the reclassification of six supposed RR Lyrae stars as binaries, the identification of four new s-Cepheids, the identification of a possible new beat Cepheid, and the discovery of two peculiar stars which may be RR Lyrae stars. Additionally, significant period corrections are needed for 14 stars.
