Abstract: From a VLA HI survey of Coma, we show that this cluster displays a clumpy distribution of gas-deficient galaxies, supporting recent findings that merging of groups is ongoing in the center of Coma. We propose that the HI-poor groups must have passed at least once through the core, while the HI-rich galaxies to the north still have to fall in. We also compare some of the observed environmental effects on individual galaxies with those predicted by numerical simulations.
