Abstract: The high-resolution X-ray spectra of the sixth outburst of RS Ophiuchi revealed P Cygni-like line profiles. We use the column densities of selected isolated absorption lines to derive the nitrogen-to-oxygen abundance ratio. We next discuss the origin of the emission lines, which may originate from the shock, and the absorption and emission lines may thus have a different formation history. Finally, we discuss the correlation of high-amplitude variability detected during the early SSS phase with variability in the hardness ratio that follows the same pattern but is shifted by 1000 sec.
