Abstract: GRBs, XRBs, SGRs and other excesses are routinely identified by flight (i.e. the triggered bursts) and ground (i.e. the untriggered bursts) processes in HETE operations. For triggered bursts, relatively complete information is available for ground analysis and there are seldom classification issues. For the untriggered bursts these excesses are identified in various time survey data products (from both FREGATE and WXM), but the classification of the weaker bursts is problematic. In this work, we report on efforts to classify untriggered bursts using the FREGATE spectral survey data.
