Abstract: It is now well-documented that a significant fraction of stars in the Solar Neighbourhood are actually binary or multiple star systems. The improvement of observational techniques has also promoted the identification of several multiple systems in open clusters. In this paper we present preliminary results about the formation and evolution of these systems in clusters. We especially concentrate on a particular type of multiple system: the hierarchical triple. Our simulations show that the formation and presence of hierarchical systems in open clusters is rather common at almost all stages of cluster evolution.
