| Abstract: |
The FITS binary table is widely used by astronomers as a primary storage format for heterogeneous data, but few packages allow users to browse through their FITS tables or edit them interactively. The IDA program is an attempt to fill this gap. It can display a FITS table in the manner of a spread-sheet, and allows the contents to be edited interactively. A number of additional facilities support exploratory data analysis and data mining, and provide some elementary database functionality. |
