Abstract: |
The Global Oscillation Network Group (GONG) helioseismology observing network consists of six instruments deployed worldwide in 1995 to provide nearly continuous observations of the Sun. Raw data from these sites arrives at the GONG Data Management and Analysis Center (DMAC) at the rate of over 1 gigabyte per day. Pipeline processing of these data proceeds contemporaneously to process the raw data to data products that will total to more than 1 terabytes per year. Researchers are able to perform catalog queries and request data from the Data Storage and Distribution System (DSDS). Project funded principally by the National Science Foundation and administered by the National Solar Observatory. NSO is a division of the National Optical Astronomy Observatories, operated by the Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy, Inc. under a cooperative agreement with the National Science Foundation. |
