Abstract:	We present a method for HST target re-classification. The standard classification available in the current HST catalog is not sufficient to start interesting archival topical searches and does not contain a well-defined source of target categories. We show how a useful and easy to set up classification scheme can be put into place, based on the long experience of the IUE system. The resulting enriched HST observation log can now easily be searched using simple criteria.
