| Abstract: |
All XTE telemetry will be archived in a database consisting entirely of FITS Binary Tables. By allowing table cells to refer to tables it is possible to build a hierarchical database without the need for adopting a FITS grouping convention. The database is isomorphic at the mission, proposal, and individual observation level. All database files are fully checksummed and all data items are tagged with a unique data descriptor. The database design and its tools are readily applicable to other missions. |
