Although the techniques of masked aperture and speckle interferometry with large single aperture telescopes in the visual to near infrared are applicable to the resolution of a number of asteroids, only a few asteroids under unusual circumstances might be observable with the Navy Prototype Optical Interferometer (NPOI) at the Lowell Observatory. |
