Abstract: |
In the following contribution I discuss the nature of the recently discovered extremely massive star clusters (106 to 108MSolar). How massive can a cluster get? When does it stop to be a classical globular cluster? I briefly discuss their link to other star clusters and in particular to Ultra Compact Dwarf Galaxies (the latter are argued to be neither Dwarf Galaxies nor Ultra Compact). I speculate on their nature as nuclear clusters that suffered accretion over their lifetime. |
